Lend your voice to help protect Queensland's Koalas
Right now, the Queensland Government is developing a new conservation strategy. This is a critical opportunity to deliver real, life-saving change for koalas and why we’re recommending stronger protections.
To secure a future for koalas we’re asking the Queensland Government to:
- Protect the bushland koalas rely on
- Make roads safer for wildlife
- Help stop dog-koala conflict
- Invest in koala health and rescue services
- Make it easier for Queenslanders to report koala sightings
- Support long-term behaviour change
- Strengthen animal welfare protections during development
The actions taken now will decide whether koalas remain in the wild for our children and grandchildren to experience, or continue sliding toward extinction.
Your voice will help shape the next decade for koalas in Queensland and protect their future in the wild. Endorse our submission by adding your name.
Alternatively, you can also make your own submission to the government.
Don't let this be the moment they disappear.
Why endorse the submission
Koalas in South East Queensland are at real and growing risk. Every day, our rescue teams and wildlife hospitals see koalas hit by cars, attacked by dogs, displaced by development, struggling through heatwaves, or suffering from preventable disease.
This year, we are already seeing record numbers of koala patients coming into our RSPCA Wildlife Hospital.
